Iveth Luna: Seeking First My Kingdom Not God's
Listen now
Description
Psalm 40:2 (NIV) 2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,     out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock     and gave me a firm place to stand. So often in life, we must be broken before the Lord puts us back together and reveals in that brokenness his true plan for our lives. Iveth Luna is one of Contemporary Christian Music’s newcomers and she’s on a mission to point listeners to Jesus. In this episode, she talks about her call to leading worship and singing for the Lord. Her reference scripture is Psalm 40:2, which is a constant reminder that the rock in our life can’t be our dreams, our jobs, or anything else that’s tangible in this world. Our “rock” is actually the faith we have that Jesus is alive and the promises in the Bible are true. Therefore, when we fall into a pit of despair, we can have faith that the Lord is there to lift us up, put our feet back on solid ground, and as long as we’re pointing our hearts to heaven, he will guide our path. - - - - - - - - - Sponsor: Song Discovery www.songdiscovery.com - - - - - - - - - Please subscribe to our social channels for more information and great content surrounding building a lifestyle of worship. Named one of the “Top 10 Unforgettable Artists of 2022” by Air1 Radio, Red Street Records’ Iveth Luna is one of Contemporary Christian Music’s newcomers on a mission to point listeners to Jesus. Iveth’s musical journey started early in the Church, where she felt called to use her talents to honor the Lord.
