“Conspiracy-minded misogynists (men and women) went nuts over this case insisting Nichol was involved, evil, etc. There is **nothing** implicating her, so people take the few available gossipy nuggets from her (once) private life and twist themselves into contortions trying to paint her as complicit. The disclaimer that these are “not accusations“ is disingenuous given the entire podcast is built around “WHO” might remain uncharged. The host appears to have styled his delivery after Hallmark of true crime bull****. Find a non-exploitative angle of a different case, and be yourself. You could create a valuable addition to the genre instead of this nonsense. That’s my advice.”

“This series is certainly captivating. However, the way in which they characterize Shanann is disturbing and incredibly disrespectful. It’s almost as if they sympathize with the murderer and indirectly place blame on the victim. It’s subtle but definitely noticeable.”
