Mike’s right, as usual.
Mike’s right. I am, I suspect, one in a large population of curious and short-attention-span people: a demographic who miss Mr. Harvey and have been eagerly awaiting an incarnation talented enough to carry on his legacy. I hope Mike is that person. I believe Mike is that person. I am excited and nervous for Mike because he is aiming at the top even as he mentions Paul Harvey in his introduction. Some may attempt to compare Mike Rowe’s initial podcasts to Mr. Harvey’s, an unfair comparison to be sure. To compare the beginning efforts of someone as obviously talented and popular as Mike to the legend that is Paul Harvey would be a mistake as it took Mr. Harvey years to grow from green to gold. So perhaps is the case with Mike. I will not be among this group. Instead, I will belong to the group who remembers Mr. Harvey with smiles and fond memories and who supports Mike with patience and gratitude. Good luck Mike and good stories.
