Over 80 inches of snow. That sounds like a lot, because it is. But Orchard Park, NY managed to accumulate that much in just a few days. To put things into perspective: The average snowfall New York City sees in a year is roughly 27".....that's only in ONE YEAR! They also managed to get 66" of snow in 24 hours: which is a state record! On this episode of The Weather Lounge, we brought on a long standing client of ours who witnessed this historic Lake Effect event first hand.
