Lacks strong, concise and clear discussions
I really wanted to enjoy this podcast. I’ve tried on several occasions to give it another chance and just attributed the first few episodes failure to the hosts just finding their voices. However, the last episode I listened to on surviving night shift will be the last one I will listen to from this podcast. I had to skip a good portion of it and eventually stopped listening to it for a variety of reasons: 1. The sound quality! At some point it’s AWFUL and staticky. Not sure what happened as it changes back to a normal sound level, but additionally it’s all ads. 2. No real thought out, organized content. There’s moments of blank space where they’re both thinking of what to say, so it just becomes odd. I like podcasts that are real and flexible, but this just seems like too much causal chat and I’m just someone nearby that’s overhearing the conversation. 3. The bad mouthing of other medical professionals. It’s something that I really dislike that happens often, and this only perpetuates that it is OK for everyone to do so and can be influential for those who are beginning nursing school or their nursing careers to begin these bad habits when they practice. Please, strengthen your podcast with clear, concise and well thought out topics to discuss with some semblance of structure. Nurses deserve a podcast like this one with real topics. But this just doesn’t hit the mark.

Eh
So disappointing. Not critically presented or planned out, reinforces a lot of unfortunate stereotypes about nurses. Missed opportunity.

As a new grad studying for their license and feeling discouraged the talk at the beginning of this podcast about being called to nursing is so beautiful and motivational !
