Dr. Carla Hayden became the 14th Librarian of Congress in 2016. Nominated by President Barack Obama, Carla is the first woman and the first African American to lead the national library. Carla runs the largest library in the world! Carla is also in charge of the US Copyright Office and selects the Poet Laureate, and Gershwin Prize.
