Thank you! THANK YOU!!
My story is long and kinda fragmented. The cliff note version…four plus years ago I had a UTI. I was treated with Bactrim. This UTI was five months out of a vertical Incision hysterectomy where everything was removed except for my ovaries. I had a LARGE mass (a bit smaller than a volleyball) which turned out to be tons of fibroids. Anyway…had this uti, took the wicked antibiotic and the uti went away, but the feeling never did. I went in at least a dozen times looking for help. Nothing. So then I went with alternative treatments and spent $1000s of dollars. Nothing. Finally, 10 mos out I met with a urogynocologist and he dx me with hypertonic pelvic muscles. I started with pelvic floor therapy. Again…no improvement after six visits. Went home and after another frantic google search stumbled onto the tmswiki page. And that led me down the mind-body connection. I went to my seventh pelvic therapy visit and told my therapist my findings and that I was going to cancel all my appointments. Within a month I was completely back to normal eating and drinking what I wanted and living my life. Fast forward to one month ago. Got another uti. Thought I was in a good place mentally. But here I am again…struggling with a messed up urethra (what I had last time). This time I knew what was going on (although I’ve had three negative cultures since the uti just to make sure). Anyway…found Hannah thru a search for some inspiration. This is an amazing podcast. Now I just need to work this out.
