Sorry, the Quentin-Tarantino-time-jumping doesn’t work here.
This podcast tells the story of the Wonderland Murders from two directions: it opens with the discovery of the murders, and then jumps WAY back to the birth and childhood of John Holmes. From there, the storylines slowly move forward in tandem. We follow John forward in time as he grows up, develops a bad drug addiction, and makes some very sketchy friends. Simultaneously, we’re jumping to the aftermath of the murders—how the investigation was progressing, etc. Then we jump back to John Holmes’ backstory. Then back to the murder investigation. It gets maddening when Holmes starts appearing in both sides of the story—one second in cahoots with Eddie Nash, and the next second being questioned by homicide detectives. And then back again. It’s a bit hard to follow.

I absolutely love this show. It’s like listening to radio theater. Both of the lead voices are so good to listen to. I love falling asleep to this podcast. It also has some great details!!! It’s definitely worth listening to
