“For the past few years, I have accepted a position to grow a team. As I started, I was able to quickly and joyfully identify problematic areas that was preventing the team from growing before I came on board (Wonder why?!?). Two years into my journey with them, I had grown the team, in partnership with the collaboration of a few key team members, from 4 individuals to 15 individuals through the growth of the business(Galvanize much?!?). I learned my strengths, was vulnerable, positioned myself and my team to always be learning, all before I knew the language of the working genius. My team operated with tactical, strategic, adhoc meetings and I was consistently looking for root cause issues that would degrade trust, conflict confrontation, commitment, accountability, and a result oriented focus.
I am so thankful for the working genius, the time you spent in that room, white-boarding, and then presenting it over and over. I can only imagine when Laura walked into that whiteboard session that she knew the journey you all were heading down.
I’m grateful for the time you all have spent together. I can only imagine the time and dedication it has taken for each of you in the different phases of this project. I know Pat had the most fun in the ideation stage, and I heard Cody galvanize on as many podcasts as he could before Tracy reigned him in, and I guess I’d never know if Matt just cut it out.
In all seriousness, thank you. I’m grateful for the time and energy you have spent. I hope to continue progressing on my journey in organizational and team health.
Blessings,
James”
