“I’m pretty late to the party and have only just discovered this amazing podcast after hearing someone talk about it on Tik Tok.
My husband had a successful vasectomy reversal in August 2020 and we fell pregnant after what felt like a lifetime in May 2021. I had a miscarriage (hate that word) in June 2021 and unfortunately have had secondary infertility since. The fertility clinic have signed us off unless we go down the private IVF route because apparently everything is fine with my husband and me.
When I had my miscarriage I was heart broken but I put on my game face, brushed myself off and got on with it. My older sisters baby died 9 years ago at 11 days old after complications at birth and I felt my pain was nothing compared to what her and others have been through and the fact I was told by so many people that “at least I knew I could get pregnant now!”
Listening to this podcast has helped me so much, it’s helped me to understand how I’m feeling, how I felt and also validated my feelings. It’s also given me hope, I have just turned 39 and I’m petrified my time is running out but hearing other stories has given me the strength to fight for support and to be heard by the fertility doctors.
