Malongdu was founded by Sonny Chatwiriyachai and is the first Theatre of the Oppressed group to exist in Thailand. The name “Malongdu” in Thai means “Let’s Try.” Their aim is to establish an alternative theatre movement in Thailand that can share the voices of oppressed people from their site of struggle and its causes.
