How Did We Get Here- A History of Thought Leading to the Black Lives
On the chance that one of the hosts will actually read this- this was a very disappointing episode. I am sure that you guys are capable of intelligent thought and scriptural reason that would enable you to present more than an hour of a rant between white people pretending to have no awareness of systemic racism dating back before the (c)hristianization of slavery and the perpetuation of the racist ideas, attitudes and tropes that unfortunately have informed the teachings of the church and some deep-seated beliefs toward black people. I am afraid that this recording will be used as a case-study for the argument against white privilege. Even if you succeed in positioning a very difficult, painful and at times clumsy attempt of some authentically hurting people trying to ask for justice, you probably should be so happy about doing it. It must be nice to be so sure about how right you are. By the way, not everyone falls neatly into left and right categories. Even though this listen was disappointing, I did force myself to listen to the end. My only hope is that people are smart enough to separate ideas from personhood. Come on guys, As Christians you have got to be smarter than this. If you are simply pandering to the ideology of the majority of your listeners, just ignore this review. You have no intention of really trying.

This podcast is very much plugged into Calvin’s institutes, and all the other hateful Calvinistic ultra TULIP ideas. It is very much plugged into...Read full review »
