“I listened to the abortion podcast hoping to educate myself on some theological debates I maybe hadn’t heard yet in the media. I was disappointed to find a very one sided perspective that was not the diverse conversation I was hoping for. While I politically find myself further to the left, I am constantly questioning my beliefs and referring back to my Christian upbringing, thus investing my time in a podcast centered around theology. I found many if not all the talking points half baked. Taken one step further and evaluating the situation from different perspectives would have allowed for a more informative and stronger argument. One can hold the opinion that availability to abortion is promoting a sexual and therefore sinful culture. This is a common Christian stance. However, dislike for someone’s personal choices such as if they are going to have sex before marriage, for example, is not a legal grounds to overturn Roe v Wade. Every argument they brought up, if contemplated further actually negated their intended purpose, much like other pro-life language. I was disappointed in this narrow thinking from theology professors.”
