Episode 209: Angel Parker
Listen now
Description
Today’s podcast guest is  my friend and working actor Angel Parker - and I mean WORKING ACTOR. Lab Rats, American Crime Story: People vs OJ, The Strain, LaBrea which was my favorite pilot last pilot season, to a new pilot this season called National Parks.  This is a long one yall -- I couldn’t figure out where to cut it because Angel just kept dropping nugget after nugget.  This episode should truly be titled an actor’s ROAD TO SERIES REGULAR. The nuggets that Angel drops on her journey to FINALLY getting the coveted Series Regular role are priceless. From starting a family and not having the confidence to ask to be bumped up to a regular on Lab Rats, to getting to a point in her career when things seemed like they weren’t panning out so she almost quit, to being up on an Emmy stage for American Crime Story: People vs OJ and still not being able to level up immediately to the agent she wanted and almost...almost booking Sterling K Brown’s wife in THIS IS US -- these stories yall.   This is another actor's journey on mindset and truly being that it’s all about timing and that it’s all going to work out okay.
