If we recollect, the first 20 years of our life were more or less predefined by the state. Preschool, school, college, and university. Like guinea pigs on a wheel, we kept going and stopped only when the state-mandated prescriptions were done and we had to think for ourselves. And in spite of working so hard all through the years, we had no clue what to do next. So, meet Chaitanya Motwane. He is 20, done with the 12th grade and he has been accepted by a prestigious university abroad. But he chose to step away from the wheel, decline the online classes and defer joining to make the most of the classes. Stuck with a gap year and no plans of what to do next, he had the most memorable time trekking in the Himalayas, and Mount Kilimanjaro, to Scuba Diving in the Andamans. It was a discomfort zone for him but he made it to tell the tale. Catch Chaitanya speak to Gauri about his adventures and how breaking out of the system was such a liberating experience.
