You Can’t Eat Just One!
I’m addicted to this podcast. Although most of the episodes are based on rock songs, the others touch on a variety of genres, including blues, soul, reggae, folk, and pop. Whether a given song is one I’m already familiar with or one I’ve never heard of before (e.g., Janis Joplin’s “Half Moon”), I learn something new. And I’ve found that it doesn’t matter if I even like a song or an artist, I enjoy listening to every episode because this podcast enhances my appreciation for music in general, and for those who play a part by adding their particular talents to the mix in order to make a song everything it is. I’d love it if they would do episodes on “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” by Pink Floyd, “Aqualung” by Jethro Tull, and maybe even something from the punk, post-punk, new wave, and heavy metal genres.

If you’ve ever googled a song to find out more about why it was written or its backstory, then you’ll love this podcast. Perfect for a short midday break or play the episodes back to back. Very cool factoids about the songs you love.
