Weird rubbish
In this podcast the host doesn’t bother to do the research properly, he then invents a story loosely based on the topic, which he twists to fit his own prejudices and disturbing world view. Take the Chris Watts case. Chris Watts murdered his pregnant wife and two toddler daughters in 2018, a few weeks after he began an affair with a woman he worked with. The host and his guest push the narrative that Watts was a bullied and abused everyman, ground down over years by his awful attention seeking wife. They criticise the Netflix doc on this case and the media in general for suggesting Watts just snapped, which they consider to be media bias against white straight men. They believe the media is implying that any white straight man could be a family anialator in waiting. This is obviously nonsensical rubbish. The case got so much attention because Watts showed no warning or red flags that he was anyway capable of this. If we have been conditioned by the media to believe all white straight men are murderers and abusers then the case wouldn’t have been so shocking and gotten so much attention. Nobody is shocked by expected behaviour they expect so half formed hot takes in this episode can easily be dismissed. What kind of person blames a murder victim for their murder? They repeat multiple times “I’m not defending a murderer but…” because they are in fact doing just that. One of them says plainly Shanann (Watts’ wife) had a choice between divorce and dead and she chose dead. They clearly half arsed their research on this and jumped to conclusions because they’re misogynists. They like their fairytale of evil wife drives good man mad, better than the reality so that’s what they push. I’m not going to go into all the errors they make in the research because I don’t have the time but they falsely claim Chris was unhappy for years despite the phone evidence proving he seemed perfectly happy until he met his mistress. Family and friends likewise say he didn’t say he was unhappy. They bash Shanann constantly for posting too much on Facebook, calling her an attention seeking narcissist and even an abuser. Posting on Facebook was part of her job. They wrongly claim Shanann was earning far less than Chris to make the point that she should have been more grateful to him as if that would have prevented him murdering her. They even claim Shanann was the abuser in the relationship despite there being no evidence at all. To them a bossy and opinionated woman is a man abuser it seems. The truth I believe is Chris Watts seemed to have been acting his entire life. The perfect son, the perfect husband, the perfect father. He couldn’t face the confrontation, messiness and damage to his good guy persona an admittance of adultery and divorce would bring so he took the cowards way out. Killing his pregnant wife and two little girls who trusted him to keep them safe. He suffocated those little girls and shoved their bodies into an oil tank like rubbish. He’s a disgusting coward. The hosts need to face that and stop implying that Shanann had it coming because she was bossy. I gather one of the hosts has a daughter, well lads put your daughter or sister in Shanann’s shoes and see if you’d be still making such disgusting comments about her.
