Description
Seshisode 134 This week on Thoughts Off The Stem... Justin and Tyler are sampling the Guava Lime Go-Time Thcv 510 vape cart from ShredX. While discussing what makes a good Budtender/Employee. The cannabis industry in Canada is still in it's infancy. It is our opinion that as Budtenders we have an obligation to represent cannabis in a more professional way. We really try to impart the idea that, even though the environment we have cultivated is relaxed and laid back. We are the educators of cannabis products for a lot of people. So we need to shed the stereotypical stoner cliche and deliver a cohearent understanding of a wide variety of cannabis products. As much as we've dumped on crusty customers. There is a flip side to that and it's crusty employee's. Budtenders need to be welcoming and knowledgable in order to discard the negative stigma that still lingers around cannabis. It starts with product knowledge and customer service. Greeting customers at the door with a welcoming and upbeat attitude is the first step in creating trust and customer base who know your shop is there spot. We understand that there are to many Budtenders out there that are lacking knowledge or are only in it for the discount. It is our top priority to hire people that compliment each others skills and show a genuine interest in the products we sell. The culture we've created at work promotes an uplifting and joyful experience that really compliments the business. So we thought it could help others if we talked about how we manage an over achieving successful cannabis retail shop. As well as, what we look for in and expect of, our employees/Budtenders. As always, we do it with humor, knowledge and comically derailed conversations.
