Enough is surely enough for this once great podcast?
In the beginning, this was a marvellous podcast. They are both decent chaps but increasingly there is no common ground. It’s beginning to sound like Ian Botham and Ian Chappell are hosting us. Although traditionally I lean towards Team James, I cannot help notice that as James moved further from the Overton window, he became rather insulting of Toby who has remained, on balance, rather more professional and less antagonistic. Had I been in Toby’s situation, I don’t think I’d have lasted this long as James often argues in the style of a stroppy teenager. In fact, he often uses “whatever” as a ripost. The last two weeks have made it clear that there is now no common ground between these two men. There is simmering resentment and scorn from James and evidently Toby is not taking it lying down anymore - can’t say I blame him. The Delingpod has become increasingly ‘out there’ and the episode with Shane Sedore enters the realm of fantasy. I think Toby and James should shake hands, admit that they are too far apart and call it a day. It is not the pleasant listen that it once was. I also left James’ Telegram group which has become an echo chamber. The Weekly Sceptic with Toby and Nick Dixon is now where it’s at.
