Review - “Through the Griffin Door”
Utterly phenomenal. The Super Carlin Brothers are really the pinnacle of fandom content, especially for Harry Potter. I’ve watched their theories from day one, and though the Pixar theory is a little wonky at this point, they have yet to make a bad HP one (besides like a few slightly weak ones, but it’s still a 99% hit rate considering the sheer quantity). Videos are always high quality but their commentary is what’s so effortless and that translates nicely to this podcast, probably some of my favorite SCB content ever. Admittedly I did think it was literally J and Ben taking turns reading the book? Like a literal audiobook? So I wasn’t gonna listen to it but then I saw it pop up on my feed and I just tried it out and instantly fell in love with what they’re actually trying to do here. Can’t wait for my favorite book series of all time to become even better as I read it through their expert eyes. My only complaint is that “Animal Farm” is probably my favorite book ever, surpassing Harry Potter, so the end of Episode 3 was doubly disappointing, since now I have to wait so long for Episode 4 and on top of that have to reconcile J not liking Orwell’s masterpiece 😢

I watch their videos all the time and feel like they miss stuff because they dont read the books but listen to audio books. I am excited to have them read the actual books and discuss them. Need a comment section for questions though.

Maybe it’s because of my mood but either way, I find these two gentlemen both fun and soothing to listen to!
