Enjoyed this!
I really enjoyed this first podcast. I keenly remember 1979, and the Shah & hostages. This is a terrific primer on the deeper threads of Iran’s path to the present. I would love to hear more dialogue about future U.S. policy that takes into account the deeper history of U.S. influence, while promoting non-nuclear proliferation and promoting democracy.

Who knew! Explains a lot about US -Iranian relations, and why foreign governments are so suspicious of world powers interference.
