Best History Podcast I’ve listened to
This is a high quality podcast. It’s very updated - it includes the last cutting edge research. It combines a rigorous mothodological approach to History with appealing narrative techniques. It covers a wide array of periods and periods. From the Prehistory to the Middle Ages, it goes beyond a eurocentric approach to the discipline by covering very unknown geographical areas in the West - like Africa, east and south-east Asia, the Eurasian steppe, the Pacific, etc.

I liked the first two episodes just fine and was excited about really getting into the series. However the guy you interviewed in the third episode says um like a million times. Loved fall of rome, agree wholeheartedly with the mission statement - bringing academic history to the masses - and confident in patrick's ability to deliver. I don't like the overdramatic background music though.Read full review »
