Moving from culinary school to the tattoo shop, tintypist Matthew Stella, decided to give wetplate photography a try when a friend asked him to do "something involving photography" at a tattoo convention. Starting with just the basics, he was able to pick up the art and decided that maybe another career changeup was past due.
