As other reviewers have written, LCTS’ format is engaging (a natural, free-flowing, often humorous dialogue between two smart, articulate people); its content rich (about life, culture, songs, children stories); its resources helpful (including vocabulary lists and transcripts for each episode).
But what makes LCTS special are the hosts. Their passion for teaching Chinese comes across in every episode. Through their content and commitment to build community, it is obvious that they care about us (their dear listeners), our stories, and our successes.
I am among the many who have made LCTS a part of their Chinese learning journey. Two years into this journey that started with zero Chinese speaking/listening experience, I can honestly say that among all the Chinese learning resources available (podcasts… videos… courses… textbooks), LCTS has made the biggest contribution to my journey and my achievements related to Chinese learning.
