“Okay I have binged 27 episodes, starting from the beginning and working my way to recent episodes. I really enjoy this podcast, the cases are interesting and I feel appropriately edited to give the facts and enough interesting details without being too over the top. HOWEVER, I will say that I took a star away for a couple of reasons: 1) The humor is a bit much...most of it is just their personalities coming through in dealing with difficult topics, I get it. But it sometimes crosses the line into “irreverence” in my opinion. Makes it hard to take them seriously and their sympathies fall a bit flat. 2) The whole “judging not judging” is...well, judgmental. In dealing with brutal crimes and serial killer stories, there are undoubtedly some colorful characters. Not everyone is going to live out their lives as the hosts would. (I’m specifically talking about victims and supporting characters...not the killers necessarily). Their private commentary and judgement on how/why others choose to live or decisions others make is definitely a bit off-putting. All that being said, I’m sticking around and I do enjoy this podcast very much!”
