THE podcast for current Japanese stationary
My wife and I got into fountain pens, ink, and paper a couple years ago. We quickly gravitated to the products from Japan. This podcast is the essential source of information for these products. Episodes range from the most current news and products, to historical lineage and explanations. Occasionally CY, Jacob, Alesa, or Khuê will add tidbits of Japanese culture, or insight into life in Japan. I love that, more please. Jacob’s corporate financial reporting updates are fantastic. The interviews with Nagahara-san are super interesting. It’s fun when they talk to their sources at store X about a future product and then debate. I went back and listened to every episode; how can you not, they’re full of so much information, and doing so really paints a picture of the stationary world in Japan. Once you dive into the Japanese scene, you quickly discover it is geared mostly toward the people of Japan, with few sources offering English-native websites, or offering shipping outside the country, especially the interesting/unique stuff. It’s fascinating, and it just makes the products so much more desirable to those who want them. CY and Jacob have a great rapport and the conversations are always positive, light, and friendly. CY and Jacob you guys are doing a great job, your hard work does not go unnoticed. Keep it up.

I've been (dangerously) enjoying this podcast for a few months now. I love the mood that CY and Jacob set, and the podcast sounds like friends sitting in a cafe chatting over their favourite hobby, which makes it a great relaxing listen. I enjoy the juxtaposition of CY's energy against...Read full review »
