“Listened happily for a few episodes and was generally enjoying the content, interesting anecdotes about nostalgic pop culture topics. Then, ads started coming on for some predatory company trying to use fear mongering and conservative propaganda to hawk “investment gold”. Unclear if the podcast creators have a hand in choosing advertisers or if iHeart is inserting ads they’ve chosen independently. I can’t I’m good conscience support either one, knowing they are accepting money from advertisers like this and allowing this rhetoric to be spread. This content purposefully sows division for profit, it is deeply consequential and deeply harmful. Shame on all involved.”
