My Favorite Podcast Paws Down
Guys- I’m talking to the guys now. Hear me out- you mentioned looking for arrowheads in one of your episodes. I find many incredible copper artifacts from the western Great Lakes area. If I give you a really nice one, will you please be my friends? Mike doesn’t have to be, but Wes and definitely Jeff would have to be my real friends. I mean, like, you would have to invite me on like at least one trip every year and send me a Christmas card. I don’t even like Lord of the Rings, or video games (I have no idea what Smash Brothers is), but your podcast just dethroned LPOTL as my all time favorite. Oh, and my dad doesn’t believe me that black bears don’t protect their cubs so I’m going to show him and take a selfie of myself picking one up. (But for real I saw an enormous black bear that looks like it didn’t shed 2 pounds over the winter last week. If you were my real friends, I could send you a video. Because you need more bear pics I’m sure). And Mike, I was kidding, I want you to be my friend too. Keep it up boys!

On a flight to Jackson, WY, I obsessively read about every fatal bear attack in No. America and there determined causes bc I planned a brief solo hike in TNP. The snow and the stories prevented the hike. Hearing these guys and their expertise on bears is quite interesting.

I’m greatly enjoying this podcast! With human-wildlife interactions becoming increasingly common, knowing what to do to have safe encounters is important. The hosts are down-to-earth and strike a nice balance between being human and sharing facts.
