Love being able to skip some terrible movies!
Love listening: I love the banter between both hosts. I really love the summaries and historical context. Thank you, ladies, for saving me the agony of A Clockwork Orange! (The book is ok though) I feel my age, though, as an young gen x/elder millennial. Or maybe it’s my “outside of the USA” education? I find it interesting to reconcile my understanding of historical context with the snippets included with each episode. For example, related to Ep 67, I’m surprised that a brief snippet about Virginia Woolf didn’t include information about the sexual abuse she suffered from her brothers and how this trauma impacted her mental health. Is this not widely presented in information about this amazing feminist writer? I love the perspective I get from listening to two women talking. About anything. But in particular, an industry largely dominated by male perspective.

Two thirds of the AFI top 100 are sucky bores. I’m glad they’re watching them, so I know which ones to skip and which ones to bother with.

Wonderfully engaging, love the intersectional feminism being explored here! Very clever and entertaining and impressed with the accents they put on. A great podcast for our time, punching up instead of down, leaving you with a lot to think about :) My husband loves it too!

Hilarious, whip-smart, and refreshingly un-pretentious. Finally, an antidote to the staid commentary on movies we all know we “should” watch. A fantastic listen for anyone who has ever been stuck at a too-serious Oscars party with no snacks and ex-film majors. Five stars!
