Stereotyped lead female character
I love this podcast in every way with the exception of Amber. While Amber is sweet, enjoyable to listen to, and even witty, I absolutely cannot stand how much of a submissive doormat her character is made out to be. Literally, the only function to Amber’s character is to provide emotional support to and engage with male characters. Her whole existence revolves around the men in her life and little to no character development happens for her outside of that. And, when the podcast touches on the parts of her life that don’t involve men, it’s always under a shroud of depression and dysfunction due to loneliness and a lacking direction in life w/o a man around. But, generally, she just sits around in her tower and works on a puzzle while waiting to hear from one of the men in her life. Just… come on. I’m on S3E4 and am desperately hoping to see more character development from Amber, but I’m not counting on it.

Liked the podcast but I listen to get away from politics. Understand that you have your opinion and I have mine. Unsubscribing.
