The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act has always been a point of discussion and intrigue, right from its origin during the Emergency. On 20th September, the FCRA Bill was introduced in Lok Sabha that broadly redefined terms related to acceptance, transfer, and utilisation of foreign contributions under the 2010 Act. Within less than 10 days, the Bill was passed and came into force on the 29th of September.
