Great podcast. “Regular” people interviews are what I like the most.
I am a beginning triathlete in Michigan. I started because my wife, a seasoned triathlete, decided to go for a half Ironman. She needed a training partner for the long bike rides... so..... I bought a $150 road bike off a neighbor. Giant ACR, stuck aero bars on it and away we went. I am a seasoned runner typically running 2-3 destination half marathons so training was nothing new. When she went to the pool I decided I might as well go too. Well that lead to signing up for my first Triathlon in mid July. I am happy to say I completed the race and won my age group (40-44). Smaller race but a confidence booster to say the least. Swimming open water is nerve wrecking for a first timer and the few OWSs we did helped but just getting through the race did it. I am hooked. We are now signed up for a couple more (sprint distance).

Well done Eric, this is a great podcast. Your interview style is really natural and your guests seem very at ease. Consider an interview with the Brad Bevan and Greg Welch from years gone by. It would be great to hear about their rivalry and also their view on the progression of the sport.

The mix between 1st timers to experts in the sports makes this podcast an excellent resource for all Triathletes. Very down to earth, which even though he was a Pro athlete, help us age groupers identify with him.
