“Patrick, I love you, you do a pretty good job coming at issues from the middle. I appreciate that every assertion you make feels genuine.
Gillian, hey girl, long time listener. I’ve loved you since I started listening at the beginning of Covid. I hope you take some of these (needlessly harsh) comments constructively. Many of your comments… you’re getting to the point where you are OVER correcting to the point of saying really backwards, discriminatory things. That isn’t how it’s supposed to be. You do not have to stand for injustice, but you’re coming across as hypocritical constantly belittling men, police officers, age gaps between consenting adults. It makes people on all sides distrusting of your position if your willing to cut things down that you don’t like. Imagine if the things you said discriminated against groups you stand for: it would be travesty. THAT is a problem. You’re clearly angry about some things, which is human, but you may consider working those things out behind closed doors because it seems people are just waiting for you to say something horrific about THEIR culture/identity in an effort to sound righteous. I wouldn’t rather hear how you REALLY feel about the state of the world in an honest, intelligent way rather than just a regurgitation of the most progressive viewpoints you’re trying on. Are you REALLY ok with homeless people? Are you REALLY ok with the issues plaguing black communities? If you want to bring it up, say how you really feel. Is everything truly hunky-dorey and we should just let all people be? Or is turning that blind eye how we got some of these crime stories and domestic assault crimes to begin with? Good luck, girl. Big fan.”
