“What sounded like a good listen at first became a bit of a let down after listening to 5 or 6 Episodes. Clearly passionate supporters but everyones thinking and overall view is too influenced by the preceding result(s) and the content ends up as being the opinion of a bunch of match day mates in a pub after 4 pints rather than a passionate but balanced set of opinions. Love the passion for The Toon but if I wanted to hear this sort of thing I could walk in to a pub near St James after a game to get a live version. Shame because the Podcast format makes it much more accessible to lots more people who may not otherwise get a chance to hear the thoughts of fellow fans. Worth the team taking a step back and reviewing how they approach things. Making a point of listening to some previous episodes and reflecting on how the whole thing could be improved by introducing a less knee jerk approach in order to end up with something that avoids ‘we’re hopeless’ ‘we’re great’ ‘we have the best defence in the league’ ‘how the hell did they let that 2 goal lead slip’ ‘I’m never going back there ‘ ‘I’m saving hard for next years season ticket as we’re going to be top 4’. Just a thought.”
