Reporting should be objective
We have been very loyal and supportive of Trumpcast for the past 5 years. Virginia and her team produced important and meaningful shows that helped people deal with our crazy reality. However, during democratic primaries, the first time we were seriously put off by her comments about Bernie Sanders. We were supporting another candidate but felt it was absolutely inappropriate and offensive to Bernie who deserves a lot of respect for his life of service! Finally, the recent show What Next: The Palestinian Perspective left us very disappointed! We were actually arguing with the “journalist” producing the show! It is great to show Palestinian perspective on the conflict, but it needs to be good journalism, well researched, based on facts, representing a true objective picture. We are on the left on Israeli-Palestinian conflict, study this topic a lot, disagree with current Israeli policies and construction on territories, we also lived in Israel, supported peaceful and safe solution for Palestinians and Jews, and have seen the conflict first-hand. The show presented an absolutely one-sided story, not supported by facts or history, to name just a few: that Jews lived on that land for at least 3000 years (that’s how old Jerusalem is which was their Jewish capital, where Kings David and Solomon ruled the land, and the location of both Jewish temples destroyed and occupied by Romans, Greeks and many others). Moreover, the UN decisions of 1948 of establishment of the State of Israel offered a two state solution, which was rejected multiple times by Palestinian leaders throughout the past 70 years. In addition, Jerusalem came under Israeli control in 1967 not because they occupied it without a reason, but because Israel was attacked by 6 countries and won the war which resulted in return of parts of Jerusalem. When I lived in Israel, there was no problem for Palestinians to travel through the country and work in Israel - which many of them preferred, but then intifada started and there was a huge rise in terrorism which forced Israel to build walls and close borders. I am not saying all those decision were correct or the only possible solutions, but unless you live there, or study both sides, or present an objective picture, you are not doing service to either side. I have friends who are Palestinians from Gaza (they currently live in the US, but have parents in Gaza) and they don’t agree with your reporting as well. Please, do a better justice to these complicated issues. Or don’t do it at all.

This show offers really interesting analysis of the Trump™ phenomenon. Like this race, it's such a strange mixture or entertaining and terrifying. Also, the opening montage is always phenomenal!Read full review »
