Bittersweet Justice
Listen now
Description
Not even an hour after we begin to celebrate the guilty verdicts in the trial of Derek Chauvin. We were made aware of the death of 16 yr old Makhia Bryant who was shot and killed by police in Columbus, Ohio. Justice became bittersweet, a feeling of gloom overshadowed the hope that things are finally going in the right direction... This has become all too common a never ending cycle, that has to stop. All of the hashtags, the protest, the anger, and division. In this episode I’ll be discussing The problem with Black Lives Matter (the organization) not the meaning. I’ll also be touching on why we need to discontinue the phrase (black on black crime) Crime is crime and for some reason when it occurs in the black community it’s labeled by race. Yet when other races commit crime against one another it’s just crime. I’ll be covering topics of, institutional racism (systematic), the unbalance of justice, and many more. Tune in to the episode to hear what else I have to say. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
