Amateurish, Poorly Researched, and Unentertaining
Poring over the episode titles and the book selections the hosts cover, this podcast seemed like it was tailor made for me. Sadly, the hosts have proven woefully inadequate when it comes to discussion. The topics discussed are poorly researched and both hosts oftentimes state things that are demonstrably false and factually incorrect. Sound quality is inferior. The discussions about the books themselves are painfully shallow with the depth of a high school Junior. A lot of this would be forgivable if the hosts were more amiable or funny or likable, or even had discernible personalities, but they don’t really have that going for them. Overall, the quality is incredibly poor, and it disappoints me that I have to write this, because I really wanted to like this podcast.
