Wow… rude students.
The first thing I notices was all the extraneous noise w/in the video. Unfortunately, the teacher is not being listened to by the majority of the class. They are all chatting amongst themselves. Thats not how I remember my college classes… but times change I guess. Anyway, because of this it is rather difficult to understand the teacher. Another thing is that by the 17 minute mark he is still on importing a picture. So watching this video is somewhat painstaking. When he finally does get a picture of a student loaded he explains the minutiae of white balance. Great for an ultimate photography beginner but for someone who knows how to properly take a photo it affects the point of the video which is LIGHTROOM. Not photo 101. By the time I got 1/2 way through it I was scrubbing ahead. When he began making edits to the picture he did not explain what he was doing. Just was making adjustments in the panel on the right. For a LR noob such as myself this did nothing to aid in my understanding of the product and its workflow. I did learn about the difference between LR and PS and why/when to use which one and why. Also he explained the layout of the screen pretty well.

I think this was some kind of seminar an Adobe professional came and did at the university. And...Read full review »
