Description
Professor Zangeneh’s research on computational methods to improve the performance of rotating machinery has fostered a long-term research collaboration with the Ebara Corporation of Japan that has resulted in over £1.2 million of research income for UCL and supported 6 post-doc researchers. Importantly the collaboration led to the development of the innovative inverse method of turbo-machinery design, with the IP providing the foundations for the establishment of UCL spinout company, Advanced Design Technology. In 2012, the turnover of ADT exceeded £1million for the first time and with a multinational customer base, the company is a global leader in turbo-machinery design software.
