STEMINIST host Moriah Bisewski interviews Dr. Stacey Louie, an associate professor in the civil and environmental engineering department in the Cullen College. Dr. Louie holds a Ph.D. in civil and environmental engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.  Her research focuses on understanding how pollutants interact with our surroundings, with a specific emphasis on developing engineering methods to effectively remove these pollutants. In addition to her research, Dr. Louie plays a vital role in mentoring her doctoral students through the process of selecting research topics and providing valuable support throughout their dissertation projects to ensure their academic success.
