“A wonderfully fun and entertaining podcast for people learning Italian. Roberto from Un Italiano Vero is the best Italian teacher that I have found online after years of trying to learn Italian using various sorts of resources and methods.
Roberto’s laid back demeanor and conversational approach puts the listener in a very relaxed yet attentive state of mind that aids in the absorption of the Italian language. Roberto brings attention to any uncommon words and expressions that he may use during his discourse and explains them all in a thorough, yet easy to understand manner. There is no script to follow, so the podcast flows very naturally with various kinds surprises, jokes and special cameos in between. Not only will you feel like you’re listening to a good friend relate stories to you, but you’ll be also having so much fun that you’ll forget that you’re actively learning and absorbing a language!
The podcast is entirely in Italian so it would be best to have some grasp of spoken Italian as a prerequisite, but I believe that active listening of this podcast can help hone your ear for the Italian language and bring your level of understanding up a whole lot. I’m not saying you’ll become fluent in Italian solely by listening to this podcast, because you will still need to practice speaking, reading and writing, but it will definitely cover the active listening component of language learning.
