Needs consistency
Tom’s questions are pretty great and his production quality has improved. It’s the upload details that kind of hold him back - especially on YouTube. He’s interviewed many of the greats, but has such low subs. I think one of the issues is consistency among those details. The thumbnail styles are ever changing. He needs something clearly defined (like the style he’s now gone back to using: clear picture of guest, their name and the show’s logo in corner). He needs to stick to this style and stop changing, his subs and future subs will have a hard time identifying his show from the thumbnail - which is crucial. The title of the show is also inconsistent, right now it’s “Tom Ward Presents: Under the Influence” and it’s also “Under the Influence with Tom Ward”. He needs to pick one. His title should also be concise and mention his guests’ name. He should direct his viewers to like/subscribe or rate/review from the beginning of the interview. He’s missing this opportunity to remind the viewer. Even the blurbs he writes on the Podcast app need consistency. He should have clearly defined links to the YouTube channel and his social media. Even in these blurbs, he often misquotes his own social media handle. He needs to correct this so people can find/follow him. On YouTube, he should take advantage of the hashtag feature. Hashtag buzzwords that relate with your guests and your show. Lastly, he should definitely reupload the interviews of the people show in his intro/theme song - Shane Dawson, Ryland Adams and I think LaurDIY. These are some great guests that should draw decent numbers. The fact that they’re missing, but referred to, is confusing.
