I expected something else
I have to admit, at first I was very close to exiting after the first ten minutes. Calling your children terrorists and a sarcastic vibe towards those ladies who made it through social media did not resonate with me. I honestly thought, envy and disregard towards other human beings would dominate. I am glad I stayed, as I would have missed the point. When the episode delved deeper into the real facts and how smart those women are who saw the potential in this medium, my views on the content changed. I would have never thought how much business know-how and strategy is behind those successful profiles. Jo goes deep into the history and evolution of this new way of making money and how women become bread winners through methods that so many disregard with eye rolling comments. I never felt comfortable or confident using social media. Admitting it to friends was a tabu, because of the general stereotype towards Mums on social media. With the information that Jo provides, I hope that many can see that those women are not just posting and having fun but are running a serious business. And I genuinely hope that those successful women finally receive the deserved respect for their hard work. Thank you Jo, for enlightening the world. It was time, that somebody did it. Best of luck with your venture and I hope that as many people as possible will hear what you have to say.

More reviews of Under the Influence with Jo Piazza
Very interesting story that shares the many facets of influencer culture - form how it gives women a platform to make content and money from heir hard work, to the psychological and social implecations of this culture. Couldn’t stop listening!

Meh
The content is interesting enough but I’m not a fan of the delivery. Jo talks about how mean the internet is to women but seems a bit like a mean girl herself. Plus the language seems excessive.
