“This season is so hard to listen to. Jo states an opinion or a description of what she’s going to talk about and then repeats it in slightly different ways for an excruciatingly long time. It also feels like there’s very little research and almost no perspective to offer this season. It’s lukewarm and even when it’s judgmental it still feels somehow middle of the road without landing on either a data point or a strong, informed opinion. I was disappointed because the episode topics are things I’m interested in and then there is just zero substance. Jo mentions being “like Maintenance Phase” at one point. I wish she would research, present, and edit anywhere close to the level of that podcast.”
