This week we had the pleasure of speaking with Jon from Backcountry Custom Canoes. Through Jon’s background in Forestry, his ongoing passion for the outdoors stemming from his childhood and his relentless work ethic, Jon is crafting beautiful custom (artisan) skin on frame canoes.  Skin on frame canoes is an art dating back thousands of years. They turn out light, strong and perfect for the backcountry.
