As an Albertan who visits the canmore + banff area multiple times a month, I have also become attached to the scenic views and the wonderful wildlife that comes with it. Although tragic and disheartening what happened to bear 148. I’m so glad this podcast + more discussion of wildlife has come from it. Eye opening for those who may not have thought of the local wildlife in this light before. I can only hope that lessons are learned from this terrible loss. And hopefully people start taking responsibility and respect of those around us without voices and who have lived on this land for much longer then we have. Thumbs up to the cast of this podcast. Thank you for speaking on behalf of those who cannot!

More reviews of Undercurrent: Bear 148
This story is absolutely fascinating and engrossing. It does a fantastic job telling bear 148’s story - and it’s an important podcast as we struggle to balance human needs with the animals we share our landscape with. Highly recommended!

Thanks for doing this. I've never met a bear and now I am going to be a member of The Narwhal. Good for you.Read full review »
