“Andy Clarke tries his best but this is a mess full of double standards.
In the episode that I listened to, the host and his guests lambast conference speakers who use “um" and “er" fillers when presenting. However, throughout the podcast nearly every other word spoken is followed by “you know”, “like”, “right”, “whatever” or “cos” – this makes them sound no more intellectual than the average professional footballer or Little Britain’s Vicky Pollard. They might as well throw in “Innit bruv” for good measure. They should listen to themselves before criticising others.”
