I can’t wait for the next episode to learn more
Being a transplant to the South as an adult, I’ve become determined to know the WHOLE history of this complicated part of the world that is full of dualities- white/black; friendliness/bless your heart; interest in other places/I don’t leave my state; pride in overcoming the challenges of post-civil war economic deprivation/heritage of hatred, denial, and oppression. This first episode has me already wanting justice for Mr. Banks, wanting to further understand the complicity of the white community in this crime (because there will be complicity), and being thankful to his family for sharing their memories and pain so the journalists and the public can understand the precious life lost, the pain a murder causes, how people staying silent can perpetuate the pain of a family and community, and how that silence still impedes unity in our communities today. This is a story that needs to be told and I’m thankful and eager to hear the rest of this story.

More reviews of Unfinished
One narrator is dry, boring, and sounds automated. The other is great, emotive, and very easy to listen to. Bouncing back and forth between the two is super distracting and detracts from what otherwise is a good podcast.

What an amazing story, thank you so much for bringing this to us!!! Please bring more stories of racial injustice to us all for this is a lesson we all need to know if we are to enact much needed reparations.
