Entertaining and Important
At the heart of this podcast is the investigation into a murder by lynching of a charismatic, powerful and wealthy Black farmer and landowner in the 1950s. However, as it unfolds you also get an important education on the racial divide in the Deep South during the onset of the Civil Rights era. There were literally two sides to the same story and this podcast really gets to the heart of that. Its hard to reckon with the past of this country, but stories like these are important to understanding the present. I love this podcast and can’t wait for the next episode.

Fantastic story highlighting so many overlooked, hidden issues of the time. This is how we re-see and re-learn our past to better understand where we are today!

Although there are only two episodes, you do not want to miss out on this podcast. I’m glad I came across it and I cannot wait for episode three! They way they have gathered their research and gotten people from that time period to speak is amazing. I love it ❤️

As someone learning about Isadore Banks and his tremendous legacy for the first time, it was incredibly painful to hear about all the racial injustice. I deeply appreciate the thoughtfulness that the reporters and producers gave Isadore, his family, and their experiences.
