“At the heart of this podcast is the investigation into a murder by lynching of a charismatic, powerful and wealthy Black farmer and landowner in the 1950s. However, as it unfolds you also get an important education on the racial divide in the Deep South during the onset of the Civil Rights era. There were literally two sides to the same story and this podcast really gets to the heart of that. Its hard to reckon with the past of this country, but stories like these are important to understanding the present. I love this podcast and can’t wait for the next episode.”
