Philippians 2:5-11 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:5 (NIV) Barriers to having the mindset of Christ in our relationships: 1. SELFISHNESS The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others - ignoring God! --- harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for it in his life is weeds. But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life and eternal life. Galatians 6:7-8 (The Message) Don’t think only about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and what they are doing. Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God. Philippians 2:3, 5-6 (NLT) 3. INSECURITY The fear of human opinion disables. Proverbs 29:25 (Message) Love has no fear because perfect love expels all fear.  I John 4:18 (NLT) 4. RESENTMENT To worry yourself to death with resentment is a foolish, senseless thing to do. Psalm 73:21-22 (New American Bible) You must make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive the person who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
